Start with TWRA, not an old calendar

TWRA’s deer page publishes season dates and deer regulations. The applicable rules depend on the season, deer-management unit, equipment, and property you plan to hunt.

This website intentionally does not copy a season calendar or bag-limit table that could become outdated. Use the current official page and confirm it describes the season in which you are hunting.

Check the location and land type

Public-land and wildlife-management-area rules may differ from the statewide framework. TWRA specifically cautions hunters to check area regulations rather than assuming every statewide opportunity applies to every WMA.

Identify the harvest county rather than relying on the processor’s location. A deer taken far from Bethpage is governed by the rules at the hunting location.

Plan the day after the harvest too

Before hunting, know how you will report a harvest, cool the deer, and transport it lawfully. Season permission does not remove tagging, check-in, or CWD-related transport obligations.

Call Country Boy Trades about intake availability near your planned arrival. The shop’s hours do not follow automatically from TWRA’s hunting calendar.
