A deer drop-off checklist

Prepare for deer drop-off with a confirmation number, a cool and clean harvest, and a clear list of questions for the processor.

Call (615) 604-3887

These are planning questions, not a confirmed service menu. You can call about unconfirmed prices, services, or policies. Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season.

Seasonal source review scheduled: due by 2027-07-01. This is an editorial deadline, not a season date. Check the linked official sources for your season and location before acting.

Before you leave the field

Follow Tennessee’s tagging and check-in requirements. TWRA says the harvest confirmation number must accompany an animal taken to a meat processor and remain available for inspection until final processing.

You may bring your deer field-dressed or not field-dressed. If it is not field-dressed, an additional $45.00 fee applies. Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season. Protect the harvest from contamination and avoid unnecessary delays; this intake preference does not mean a deer can safely be left warm. Contact the shop about any condition concern.

At the shop

Use the arrival instructions the shop gives you. Confirm contact details, the agreed order, payment arrangements, and how pickup notification will work. If donating the whole deer, tell the shop before setting up a personal processing order.
