Packaging and labeling questions
Confirm how your venison will be packed and labeled. Learn why freezer packaging matters without assuming the shop vacuum-seals orders.

Call (615) 604-3887Ask what the shop provides
Country Boy Trades’ packaging method and labeling policy have not been confirmed for this site. Ask whether the meat is wrapped, bagged, or vacuum-sealed; what labels are included; and whether package-size requests can be accommodated.
For a mixed order, ask how products will be distinguished. Confirm which items need cooking and which require refrigeration. Product names alone are not reliable storage directions.
Protect quality in your freezer
USDA explains that freezer burn occurs when air contacts the surface of frozen food. It harms quality but is not itself a food-safety hazard. Packaging that limits air exposure helps preserve the meat’s condition.
USDA recommends overwrapping air-permeable packaging for prolonged frozen storage. If a package tears while frozen, rewrap it. This does not establish whether this shop’s packaging needs any extra wrapping; inspect the package and ask for instructions.
Keep a useful inventory
For your own records, note the product, quantity, and date placed in the freezer. Keep packages identifiable so you do not confuse a raw product with one that is ready to eat. Follow the actual product label and the shop’s instructions.
